Hi all! We got home from Hays yesterday evening. The wedding was beautiful!
I will start from the beginning. After I posted last time, my parents, the kids and I headed to Kansas City Airport to pick up Tim and Heidi, my brother and his wife from Oregon. After picking them up, we went to Platte City to fill up for gas and grab some breakfast before heading on. We ate at Sonic and then split into the two cars. Tim, Heidi and my mom in one so that those guys could get a couple hours rest. Dad, the kids and I were in my car. The kids watched a movie on the DVD player we had and Dad and I visited.
When we stopped in Topeka to pick up the van that was full of wedding supplies, we switched riders. Nathan, Tim and my mom were in one car, my dad was in the van and Hannah, Heidi and I were in my car. Our next stop was Salina to pick up reception food from the Sams Club there. After grabbing that, we switched riders again and Tim and I were in my car, Heidi, mom and the kids were in one car and we were headed to meet Dad at the rest stop near Russell.
We stopped there to eat a bite and then finish the trip on to Hays. All this time, I kept calling Mary to give her updates on how our trip was going. We met her at her apartment around 5pm.
We helped her load the last of her stuff into the truck and then Mom, Heidi, the kids and I headed to the hotel to check into our rooms while everyone else headed to Victoria to unload stuff. By the time we had checked into the hotel and mom and the kids and I ran to get supper, the victoria crew was done so we all met in my hotel room for supper. Then Tim, Heidi,Dad and Nathan went swimming. Mom, Hannah, and I went to bed and Mary and Jon headed back to Victoria to finish getting some things together before the weekend got even crazier.
Friday we woke up to a goal of only 3 things to finish. Bake the groom's cake, Fix lasagna and print programs. So Heidi, the kids and I went swimming for like an hour and a half while Mary, Jon, and Tim did some remixing of the wedding music CD. Mom was finishing her dress and to be quite honest, I don't know for sure what my dad was doing, but helping with the wedding somehow. Well, after Mary and Jon got done with Tim, they headed to Walmart to get an ink cartridge and some left over supplies for the grooms cake. We were all supposed to meet at their house in Victoria. So Heidi, the kids and I headed that way, while Mom, Dad and Tim headed to Walmart for some more stuff. Well, the ink cartridge that Jon and Mary bought didnt' work, so they called Mom to pick up something. So the programs couldn't be printed. Heidi, Mary and I started working on frosting and cake batter. We got the grooms cakes in the oven and waited. We couldn't put the lasagna together because Mom had the supplies with her, so we were stalled. By this time it is 2pm. We are supposed to be at the church to decorate at 4pm and none of the 3 things have been accomplished. To add to that, Mom and the crew with her were still at Walmart. Then Mary and Jon got a call from the lady from the church that they needed to be there right now to open it up and that the Honeas were waiting there because they had no place to stay. So they headed that direction a little flustered that nothing was coming together. They drove to the church and back with Moms crew arriving shortly before all that. The cakes were taking longer than needed to bake, the programs were being printed by Tim and half were done before the ink needed a refill. While all this was going on, my dad had headed to Russell to pick up the flowers. When Mary and Jon arrived again with the Honeas, it was after 4pm, pushing 5. Change in plans had us at the church to decorate at 5:45. The cakes finished about then, so they were laid out to cool. We had started to assemble the lasagna and sent Mary, Tim and Heidi back to the hotel to freshen up before rehearsal. Dad arrived shortly before that with flowers, so we loaded up the lasagna and cakes and headed back to the hotel to pick up the flower basket, ring pillow, and found the engagement ring on the sink, so we grabbed it too.
Mom and Dad stayed at the hotel while the kids and I headed to the church. We got there right at 6pm. We helped do a little decorating but most of it was already done. Karen, Mary, Jon, Tim, Heidi, Leah, Grandma, Uncle Dave, Uncle Irvil, the Minister and the wedding coordinator were there. Mom and Dad showed up shortly after we did and rehearsal started at 6:30 with everyone present except Mom. The minister was really fun. He kept the rehearsal really light hearted. He started off by praying and then said that since Jon and Mary liked to play games, we would make rehearsal a game. He said at the word go, be where you thought you would be when he said" You may now kiss the bride". We all headed to that spot and he offered Jon and Mary a practice kiss. The declined so he made them promise to not kiss again until they were married. We walked out and then started again from the beginning. It was a really nice rehearsal and then we went down to their hall/cafeteria. Heidi, Claudia and Leah had all the food ready to go and it looked so nice. Lasagna, breadsticks, salad and strawberries with ice cream. We headed back to the hotel and everyone went to bed except Mary, who was headed to her apartment to finish the grooms cake. Mom went with her to do some last altering to the dress. Karen and I stayed up until midnight and when Mary and Mom werent back, she hunted them down to bring them back for rest. Next morning we learned that Mary hadn't gotten anywhere with the grooms cake so her plan was to spend the morning alone at her apartment finishing it. Jon had set up tables the night before, so everyone decorated them and finished the wedding cake corner. AS it moved on noon, Jon kicked everyone out so they could eat lunch and be at the church by 1pm to dress and be ready for pictures. I headed with Hannah to Marys apartment to fill her in on what was going on. She had just finished the cake, so we headed to the reception hall and put her cake in the frig. She and Jon left to eat lunch as we all headed back to the hotel to eat and get our stuff. Everyone met at the church around 1 and we had Heidi do our hair and makeup. Pictures started at 2:45-3pm. Jon had his family pictures done by 2:45, when Mary wanted to meet him in the cafe for a few moments before the wedding started. Joint pictures were after that and everyone was in a place by 4pm, for guests to arrive.
The ceremony itself was really simple, yet really nice. The whole theme was about a fresh start and how Jesus can give you that. It was a really awesome evangelistic service. After they were pronounced husband and wife, everyone met outside to throw seed at them and head to the reception hall. Jon and Mary were there first so they could greet everyone coming in and thanking them for coming to the wedding. Sub sandwiches, potato salad, and pop was the simple supper and then cake and punch. They were on their way out and onto Estes park, Colorado by 7:30.
We stayed until 8:30 doing some clean up and then headed back to the hotel to swim. Everyone was hot and ready for just some down time. We played in the pool until 10pm when the hotel person kicked everyone out. Aaron and Stephen Honea were there and so there was a jumping contest into the pool to see who could create the biggest splash.
I woke up early Sunday morning to pack the car so that we could head to church. Ended up visiting with the Honeas as they were on their way out for about 30 minutes. By the time I got back inside, everyone else was up. We ate breakfast and it was about then that Tim received a text message from Jon and Mary saying the service times for church had changes due to school being out. That meant we were already 15 minutes late when we thought we still had 45 left. So we loaded up and headed to the reception hall to finish up cleaning and then taking wedding stuff to Victoria to drop it off at their house. We ended up finishing all that and on our way to Moms house about 3:30. We headed to Salina and met at the mall for supper and time to play. After some delays, we were on our way to Emporia to hit my dad's side of the family at the cemetaries. We arrived in town there around 8:30-9. We saw the gravestones barely and were eaten up by mosquitos. We made it to Mom and Dads around 10:30.
We were up a little late(sleeping in) and got our stuff together to head towards Osage City to see my mom's side of the family in the cemetaries. On our way to KCI, Tim and Heidi called to see if their flight was on time and came to find out that it had been rescheduled and it had left around noon. This was around 2:30pm. AFter some run around at the airport, they got on a flight that headed to Dallas at 5:25, that would put them in Portland around 1:30am.
The kids and I headed home, to eat supper and head to bed. Today is recovery. Which means laundry, dishes, and picking up the dumping ground we made when we unloaded the car. We are headed to Branson Sunday. Chris won a free stay there at the sports and collectable show he went to. He planned for us to be there over our anniversary and to make it a mini vacation for the family. Since we have been travelling since last November, we really dont have a whole lot of money to spend there, so we decided since we aren't paying school tuition this summer, we could use our emergency credit card to have a good time and then dump our budgeted amount for school tuition on the card to pay it off.
So, there you go. I now have another brother in the family and my youngest sister is now Mary Walker. I am so excited for her and Jon and their lives together. It has been amazing to see God bring them together and I am anxious to see what God will do in them as they begin a life together.
I hope everyone's memorial day weekend was a safe one. I think of you all often and am going to sign off and get to work. I think I need a couple cups of coffee to get started, though. :-)
Until next time, God bless!!

Another week gone by..
Ok, so I wasn't as quick as I wanted to be and here it is another week gone by.
I intended on writing on Saturday and now here it is Thursday morning..
Oh well. It will slow down and I know it.
Anyways, so here is another week at the Crosswhite household.
Last Thursday we went to Dr. Evans to have Nathan get his Kindergarten shots. He was really nervous about it. We ended up seeing Dr. Castle, who is the one who has handled most of the situation with Hannah, which by the way, I never finished. The results from the tests she had came back normal. Her kidneys are normal and so is her bladder, so that is good, but there still is no explanation of why she is having trouble. He originally said that if the tests came back negative he would send us on to Children's Mercy, but He got to thinking that maybe she was keeping bacteria in the sides of her bladder and that maybe if she took a medicine, it could help, so she is on it for a couple of months and then he is going to take another urine sample and we will go from there. It is grape flavored and she hates it. Hard to tell if it is doing any good.
Anyways, back to kindergarten shots, he was really brave. He didn't cry and Marcy (Dr. Castle's nurse) was super sweet to him. He has never seen Dr. Castle, but she and Marcy asked him a bunch of questions. Hannah was with us and was glad to see them too.
When he got the shots, he was like "OOOOOOOOOHH" 3 times. Marcy laughed and said she didnt have many kids do that. Most screamed or kicked.
We hung out at home for a while and then packed a picnic and went to Krug Park. We ate and played and then headed to the mall for T-ball pictures. Nathan was pretty sure his arm didn't work because they were full of shots.
Friday was his last day of school. He was sad, yet excited for summer break to start. They had a pizza and ice cream sundae party and threw a going away party for the director by baking her a cake.
Alisha, a friend of mine, came by and we went out to lunch with her. She wanted to take Hannah out for her birthday. We ended up going to Chu's, one of our favorite restaurants, and saw Mark Bond, a friend of ours and the music minister at our church. So Chris got a good visit with him and we got a good visit with Alisha. She came back to the house and Hannah opened her birthday gift from her and we chatted a while. It was nice.
Saturday was a t-ball game. He got to play catcher and also won the game ball. He was pretty excited. It is so much fun to watch them play. They get so funny out on the field. I am so glad he is in that.
Sunday was my last day to teach in the 2's and 3's for the quarter. Hannah was so funny because this was the first sunday being 4. I thought that she would want to stay with me one more week, but she was pretty eager to be in class with Nathan, so she chose to go in that class. She did pretty well, considering that the only class she has known since we have been here is the 2's and 3's. After church we went to Wendy's and saw the Brands. Nathan is pretty sure when he grows up, after making his cross country train trip with Caleb, that he will come back to St. Joe and marry Zoe.
We had chicken, fries and Frostys. Then headed home to think about this week, which was preparation for my sister's wedding.
Monday Chris was off so we started the day by sleeping in and then going to the "train walking place". Chris and Nathan rode their bikes 2 1/2 miles, while Hannah and I strollered it. We got back in time for lunch and then to cleaning the house up and packing our stuff. We made lists of all the things we needed to bring. Tuesday we went to the library to get a plethera of books and then to Walmart to get some necessities for the trip. Tuesday night was another t-ball game and since Chris was off, he got to be a base coach again. However, Nathan was really distracted. We asked him afterwards what was up and he said it was his loose tooth. We looked at it when we got home, and it was just dangling there. So Chris kind of turned it and it fell out. Nathan was kind of shocked, but glad, so he put it in his tooth box and put it under his pillow. He was so excited that he called Grandma Crosswhite in Oklahoma, Papa Crosswhite in Texas, Aunt Karen in Dodge City, and Grandma and Papa Thomas in Kansas before falling asleep. He was pumped that when he woke up, he would find a quarter under his pillow.
Chris went in and just stuck the quarter under his pillow, but in the frenzy to get his quarter, Nathan knocked over the tooth box and so the tooth is missing in action.
It is his bottom left front tooth. He is excited to surprize the family at the wedding with his toothless grin.
And that brings me to yesterday. I spent most of the day on the phone, sadly. Between talking to my sister Mary, who is the bride on Saturday and with my Mom, who was coming up so that we would have room to pick up my brother and his wife from Oregon. Between the phone calls and a run to Hobby Lobby, I was trying to pack the car and finish getting things together. The kids were really patient and considerate since I was off key all day. My parents arrived safely last night, way behind schedule at 11pm. Which ended up being good, because Chris and I got to see the season finale of Lost without being interrupted.
We are headed to Hays this morning after a trip to KCI. Won't be back until Monday evening. Wedding is Saturday evening and then we are headed home via Mom and Dad's to visit cemetaries. Will have a lot to write next week.
Until then, I hope your lives are less crazy and are always glorifying God, who gives us all things! If you will keep us in your prayers as we travel and as we are there to support my sister at her wedding.
Ok, will write again in a week. :-)
(maybe I will get on a schedule of writing once a week, right??:-)

Sorry so long!!!
Hi all! Sorry it has been over a week. Things have been a little wild here. I think the last time I updated was last Tuesday.
So I guess I will start there. I went to the doctor Wednesday morning because I wasn't feeling any better. After waiting for a couple of hours, doctor decided that I had a respiratory infection and put me on 4 different medicines. I was given an inhaler for the wheezing and short breath, and cough medicine to get the bronchitis out of my lungs and etc. Today was the last dose of one medicine and I still have the inhaler and one other to finish. After doing that, we had life group here. It was the last official group meeting, however, I think most of us are going to keep getting together on Wednesday nights just to keep up. We had pizza and watched Chronicles of Narnia together. It was a lot of fun.
Then Thursday, the kids and I just hung out. I was a little loopy on the medicines and the kids really wanted to go to the park, so since it was chilly, I decided at 2pm that surely the McDonalds play yard wouldn't be too bad. (I hate those things). Anyways, we went there. I didn't take a watch with me, so we ended up playing there for over 3 hours. The kids had a blast. There was one other family there and the lady and her mother and I had a good visit. We exchanged phone numbers and they are putting together a ministry where older moms mentor younger moms and are calling it Apples to Gold. It was really encouraging. I had no idea that a trip to McDonalds without buying anything could turn out so well.
I don't really remember Friday, so I guess it wasn't anything major??? :-)
Saturday was Hannah's skating birthday party. She was really excited. She dressed up in what she calls her "Cinderella" dress. Two other little girls her age were there and we went skating at 11:30am because the skating place said it might be less busy. They were right. We and maybe two other groups were there. When the kids and I left at 1:30, there were 4 birthday parties coming in. Anyways, she was glad for the small environment. She, Ruthy, Mary Rose, and Nathan took off across the skating rink hand in hand. It was really sweet. We packed goodie bags with snacks in them since it ran over the lunch hour. She opened her gifts and got some really neat things. Ruthy got her a princess wand, which when we got home and started playing with it, I didn't think we were ever going to get inside. The wind caught the ribbon and made it all sparkly and stuff. It was "magic". Mary Rose got her a purse and a butterfly necklace with clip on earrings. The necklace and earrings were the biggest hit. After getting everything inside and getting ready to take Nathan to his T-ball game, she got all gussied up in her earrings, necklace, and with her Cinderella dress and fluffy bedtime slippers. We laughed about how dressed up she was to go to a ball game.
Nathan's first t-ball game was at 4 so we headed to that after playing a little. He was so excited. They got to play 3 whole innings. He got to play position of pitcher, short stop and left field. He was the last batter, so when he was up to bat, he ran all the bases. It was like hitting a homerun every time. He really liked it. In the game, there are no outs, and no strikes and everyone bats and everyone plays a different postion every inning. He is so excited to be a part of that team and it will be good for him to do this summer as he is starting to get sad about the idea of being done with school.
Sunday was Mothers Day, and so we went to church and then came home. I was feeling a little too much like a woman, so I didn't want to do much. So we played trains on the floor and played my little ponies on the floor. When Chris got off work at 5, they made supper and we sat and visited and ate and then played 2 board games before bed. It was a nice, laid back day.
Monday was the school's playday at Bartlett Park, so Hannah and I went to that. We got to eat peanut butter and jelly sandwiches made by the kids and got to just run around. It was really fun. Then she and I headed out to find ponies to put on her birthday cake. No luck but we did find a crown she could make for her own birthday crown. We made that and then picked up Nathan. Came home to have Abbie, the neighbor's niece, over to play for a while before Nathan's 2nd t-ball game. We went to that and Nathan was 3rd batter. They played 1 1/2 innings before a torrential downpour happened. We were soaked to the bone by the time we came home. It was fun. We took off our soaking clothes, had baths early and drank hot chocolate while covered in a warm blanket watching a Veggie tales movie. Then we sent Hannah to bed so Nathan and I could decorate for Hannah's birthday. We hung up pink streamers, pink balloons and my little pony birthday banner. Set out her presents and got ready to bake the cake. Nathan went to bed and Chris made the cake when he got home.
Nathan was up early yesterday to finish the cake off, so we did that just in time.
Hannah woke up and we had pancakes and juice. Then she opened our gifts. The hit of the morning was the stuffed Pinkie Pie that Chris had gotten on E-bay. The other big one was the playdoe that Grandma Crosswhite had sent in the mail. Around 11am, we headed to Kansas City with a picnic lunch so we could check out "Penguin Park". We had seen it online and it looked cool.
Wow!! When we got there, you should have seen the kids faces. They had seen nothing like it. WE ate our lunches and then played for probably 4 hours before Chris tore the seat of his pants out while going down a huge slide with Hannah. We had to run to a thrift shop and buy him some shorts so we could finish out the day.
After that, Hannah wanted to go to the local mall and walk Pinkie pie in her pink stroller around, so we did that. On our way home, we went by Toys-r-us and with some of her birthday money, she got a my little pony hair twirler set. She was really excited about that.
We came home to make her birthday dinner of meat balls and macaroni & cheese. Abbie was at Brett and Amy's again, so we had her over for birthday cake. They played dress up for a while and then it was bedtime.
And that is about all. Here we are today kind of taking it easy. Hannah has been playing ponies this morning and I have been doing some house work since it is a little behind. Tomorrow is Nathan's kindergarten shots, and Friday we are going to the first home game of the St. Joe Blacksnakes. Then, next week is when we get ready to head to Hays for my sister's wedding. We are excited about that, but it is hard to believe it is already here.
The week after that we are headed to Branson for our anniversary/family vacation and to start summer break.
I hope all of you have been well this week. I think of you often and pray that God is working in your lives to keep you focused on Him!!
Will hopefully write again before it is this long between times. :-)
Till then, all our love!

Another week begins...
Well, it is Tuesday and things are going ok. I woke up Sunday morning to a horrible sore throat and a deep raspy cough. Of all days, I thought. Chris took the kids to church so I could rest.
I slept most of Sunday so I could function Monday, the biggest of all days this week.
We woke up Monday to take Nathan to school before taking Hannah to the hospital for tests. She did really well. We were at the hospital from 8:45-12:00. We will get the results tomorrow. Chris took Hannah out for lunch and I went home to rest until we picked Nathan up from school. After that, he had Kindergarten screening. He did really well. Ranked mostly in a 6-7 year old category. That will place him in a class. They have 3 different classes at Coleman and from what I understand; high, medium and low for their learning ablities.
After that, we had enough time to hang out a little and change our clothes, it was time to head to the "No bug" picnic and Preschool graduation. It was a great night. His class was a hit and the picnic was a lot of fun.
Today we spent time at the park because it was so nice and I thought maybe some fresh air would do me some good. We also had Nathan's first T-ball practice. He got his jersey and all. Of all things, his team is the Cubs. Chris is thrilled.
Anyways, he had a blast and it was so fun to see he and the other little kids hitting and playing catch. It was really sweet! And now my update is up. The rest of the week should be less and so I am off to bed.
I am exhausted. I hope everyone is well where you are and I will write again soon!

A busy week
Hi all! Sorry it has been a while. It has been a busy week. With all that had happened up until the last time I posted, I am sure you could understand.
Wednesday I went to Nathan's school early to discuss the situation between Nathan and Dillon. She said that she had noticed that Nathan had been more aggressive in class than normal, but didn't completely see the picture. She was used to having him in this set box and he was outside of it. She said she would keep more head up to it. We also had watched the bully movie, so when I picked him up from school, I asked him how his day had gone. He said, "Mom, I stood up to Dillon." I told him I was proud and asked him what happened after he did. He said, "Well, he didn't stop." I reminded him that no matter what, we were supposed to show love to our enemies and pray for those who hurt us.
Then he was supposed to have T-ball practice, but I am assuming it was cancelled because we showed up and no one else was there. We waited for a half an hour, but no one. We thought that even though the field was drenched, we might still get his schedule and coach contact number and such. Anyways, so he was kind of bummed about that. All I could think of was what a bad week he was having, so we went home and played a little baseball in the yard.
Thursday we needed to get the oil changed in the car, so we went to Walmart. What should have been a 30 minute wait turned into a 2 hour ordeal. I can't stand going to Walmart anyways, but I am also a cheap skate and so I can't pass up their less than $20 oil change. We finally made it home and to be honest, I don't remember the rest of the day. Isnt' that sad!
Friday I knew would be insane too, with Hannah going to the urologist. I wanted to keep the day upbeat because I wasn't sure what they would do to her. We had a tea party in her room with all her doll friends. Actually, it was 4 dolls and her play cat Oreo. We had tea (apple juice), cheese, peaches and graham crackers. It was really fun. Then after their party, we played dolls and horses and by then it was time to eat lunch and go.
We got to the urologist and most of the other patients there were older people. It was odd to see her there among a group of people at least 15 times older than her. After Dr. Liertz read over her paperwork, he decided he wants to first run some tests at Heartland to see if there is anything physically wrong with her kidneys and bladder. She had one of the 2 tests she is having when she was admitted for a kidney infection in 2004. It came back negative. The 1st test they are going to fill her bladder via catheter with dye and ultrasound it to see how it drains. The 2nd test they are going to inject dye into her blood stream and see how her body flushes fluid from the top down. If those tests come back showing there is nothing wrong with her organs, then he is going to send her on to Children's Mercy because he says there is positively something wrong for her to have continuous bladder infections and not be taking baths and wiping correctly and not drinking lots of sugary beverages. If the tests do show there is something wrong with her organs, he said he thought he could handle it in his realm of knowledge. He said it was a matter of experience. Children's Mercy would be able to pin point why she would be having troubles without deformities in her organs. So, all that will take place Monday ( of all days!!!!!). She will go in Monday morning and have both of those tests run. We should know by next Wednesday whether or not we are headed to Kansas City for this.
Anyways, after that, we hung out at home. Chris got off at 5 so we had a nice family dinner with chicken, potatoes, corn on the cob, okra and ice cream. After the kids went to bed, I went over to Alisha Vadnais' house ( a good friend of mine). She is moving and needed some help packing boxes before the crew moved her today. It was fun. We had Pepsi and a couple of candy bars and laughed and chit chatted.
Then today, it was the Apple Blossom festival in town with a huge parade. It started at 10 this morning. We got home around 12:45. The theme was movies, so we saw "Wizard of paws" float from the local animal shelter and Sound of music from a local music store and King kong from a real estate place. We saw a bunch of people we knew, either from church, or from Lowes. One of the elders in the church is running for an office in the county and so a bunch of people from church were in that part. Another person associated with the college north of here who knows Sarah Crosswhite and her family saw us too. And then the loss prevention manager at Lowes whose Dad owns a reality in town saw us too. All of them came over and gave us huge handfuls of candy. The kids were pumped about that. It was like, "Hey, they know me and I am special." The kids came home with two HUGE bags of candy. We gave half of it to our neighbors and still have 4 paper bags full. (We thought that maybe Abram could try his first lollypop; He is almost 2 years old) When they(Brett and Amy) got home, they had Abbie with them (their niece). Nathan and Hannah love to have her over. Hannah especially. They dress up in just about everything that is in Hannah's dress up drawer and then play doctor or something. After she went home, we played a little more outside and then came in, did supper and jammies and to bed.
Tomorrow is church and in the afternoon, I need to get goodies prepped to take to the school picnic they are having Monday before Nathan's preschool graduation. I won't have time to do it Monday with the hospical tests and Nathan's kindergarten screening leading up to the picnic.
We are taking deviled eggs and brownies.
I hope this had caught you all up and I just ask that you continue to pray for Nathan at school in regards to the boy bullying him and for Hannah as she goes through all those tests Monday.
Will write more later, probably not until Tuesday when things slow down a little.
Until then, all my love to all of you that I think of so often. My heart and prayers go out to you!!
Good night and later!

What a day!!
Hello all!
We had quite a day today. It was the children's fair at the Civic center today. The theme was Curious George. We all had a good time.
I am going to start, however, with other stuff. First of all, Nathan has discovered his first loose tooth. It is his bottom left. He is really excited and is wiggling it almost all the time. He calls it his "flippy" tooth. Another first in the life of a 5 year old.
Also, he has been dealing with a bully at school. Something you all might pray about. Last Friday he had a boy cut his shirt. The incident was discussed with the teacher and we thought all was good, but Monday when he came home from school, his lunch box was still full and he wasn't himself. After prying it out of him, the same kid who cut his shirt was hitting him in the back repeatedly during the first part of the morning, teasing him that he was short. He has bruises to bear the marks. It completely shattered his day and it took us a while to figure out what was up. We are going to visit with Ms. Catherine tomorrow about it.
So today was nice, to do some family things and not think about yesterday.
We got goodie bags to start with and then went to the main floor. Upon arriving, we entered this air bubble where the librarian from one of the public libraries read a Curious George book. They had a petting zoo we visited as well as a train safety booth (which by the way was the talk of the rest of the day). They also had the police men there and you could get into their vehicle. You could make finger puppets and your own yellow hats. There was a fire engine to climb on and a tepee to get inside. They also had a bunch of swimming pools filled with all kinds of stuff. Macaroni, salt, beans, potato flakes, and ice that you could dig around in. They had a wildlife area, where you could climb into this air tent and see several stages of frogs growing. Finally, they had this obstacle course you could run around in. The kids had a blast.
Oh, I forgot, we started the day by having a picnic on the top of the parking garage. It was kind of cool. You could see the whole city while eating your sandwiches.
After we were done there, we came home and grabbed our bikes and went to the Riverwalk. Chris and Nathan rode their bikes one way and Hannah and I walked it and then on the way back, Nathan and I rode bikes and Chris and Hannah walked. We came home to eat spaghetti, do bathes and then we watched a Veggie tales movie about how God wants us to treat bullies.
It gave the verse about how we should love our enemies and pray for those who hurt us. So we finished the night by praying for the kids at school and that God would be glorified in what Nathan did.
I am hoping that everything will go well and that tomorrow ammends will be made. With God, nothing is impossible.
Well, i am struggling to type, so I guess that is my sign to quit and go to bed.
Will write more later this week. Nathan's first T-ball practice is tomorrow as well as Friday is Hannah's urologist appointment.
Until then, all God's blessings to you.
