Happy Independence Day!

Hi! Happy Independence Day!
I hope that you have a fun day and saw neat fireworks. We went and sat on the top of a hill in the Culvers parking lot. Chris had to close tonight. We could see Savannah's, Amazonia's, Elwood's, and the casino's fireworks along with people in their yard setting them off.
Yesterday we ended up taking Hannah to see Dr. Castle again. She complained Saturday that it hurt to go pee. I started pumping her full of cranberry juices, but she only got worse. By Sunday, she was screaming everytime she went to the bathroom. I figured I had better get her in before the holiday. Sure enough, they got her in and got a sample. It was loaded with bacteria, so Dr. Castle decided that enough was enough and is working on a letter of all Hannah's history and is getting her an appointment at Children's mercy in Kansas City.
We will know sometime this week when that appointment will be.
I think I wrote last Thursday, so to catch up from then.
Friday, the kids had done their chores early, so we filled up their kiddie pool and they spent the entire day outside, either riding bikes, shooting water guns, or wading in the pool. In the afternoon, Mary Rose came over. Lisa had an appointment to have a cyst removed from her shoulder. She joined in on all the action. They went home around 4 and Chris had gotten home. We dried the kids off, and ate supper. Grilled pork ribs and corn on the cob. Books and bed.
Saturday was a birthday party for one of Nathan's t-ball friends. The party started at noon with a cook out and games. He was counting down the hours. We got to the park around 11:30. It was a good thing we were early because Lane's mom said that they had gotten there around 11. They hung up the sign and Lane stood by the tree waving at all the cars, hoping they would stop. She reminded him it would be another hour but he persisted. Then we pulled up. He was so excited to see Nathan. They ran around and Hannah and I helped Jasmine (Lane's mom) with the charcoal and grill stuff. She (Jasmine) is pregnant and is due with their first daughter in October. About 12:15 a couple other t-ball friends showed up. The first game they had was a balloon popping one. Jasmine had boughten all these little olympic style medals. They divided into two teams of four. Everyone popped 2 balloons and all got medals. By then, the food was ready, so we ate. After that was the pinata, which, cute enough was a baseball. Everyone used the t-ball bat to hit it. After the pinata, while Lane's grandma got the cake ready, the kids divided into pairs and were supposed to wrap each other up in toilet paper. Whoever used up their roll first won. Nathan and this boy Zach were a team and Hannah and Lane's little brother were a team. Of course, everyone won and got another medal. Then it was cake and present time and then we all headed home.
Nathan and Hannah had a great time and we all exchanged more phone numbers. A play date is in order. When we got home, we looked up to see Abbie, anxiously looking for Hannah. They played with her the rest of the afternoon. Supper, and baths and bedtime followed.
Sunday, I taught kindergarten sunday school again. We went to sunday school and then the 11 service. Lisa went forward and shared a personal testimony.
After church she came over to talk, so the kids played with her for a while. She went home just as Chris was getting off work. We had supper and baths and bedtime.
Then, Monday we went to Dr. Castles and then to Target to get the medicine. Home to play, only to run back to Target to get another medicine that Dr. Castle decided to put Hannah on. Then we went and bought a couple of little ground fireworks. A couple of trains that steamed and shot off sparks off both front and back buffers. A cluster of dancing butterflies, which were fountains that in the end, shot off some spinners.
Today Chris didn't have to be in until noon because he was closing, so we called my parents and wished them a happy anniversary. They celebrated their 30th this year. Then the kids and I finished our lunches and watched the shuttle take off today.
They both were completely fascinated with it. Hannah was really loving it. She saw the 2 ladies get on board and said, "Mommy, when I grow up, I want to do that. Do they get to see the moon really close and see heaven?" We talked about the shuttle and then laid down to rest so that we would be awake for the fireworks. Hannah fell asleep and I dozed off and on. Nathan just laid there and sang. We woke up and played outside until Chris got off and then went to Culvers.
And that is where we are now. We got home and put the kids to bed. Chris is watching a movie and I am on here listening to Selah.
I hope that you enjoyed the day and gave thanks to God for making us free. Free in so many ways!! Mostly free to make mistakes and wake up in the morning with God's mercies new.
That not only soldiers gave their lives so that we could have the freedom to express ourselves in many ways via writing or saying, but that Christ gave His life so that we can have the freedom to approach the holy throne of God clean. For that, I am most grateful!
Well, need to get to bed. Sending all my love and prayers to all of you!
Angel
