We have had a great weekend. Chris wasn't off early Thursday like he had hoped. Kids and I ran to walmart and worked on dishes. Chris did have Friday off. We let him sleep in and then when he got up, we played, he and Nathan built a train that Grandpa Crosswhite had given him and he went out for some time to himself.
We also found out that our friends Mark and Rachel were in the hospital delivering their baby. When we sat down for supper around 6:30, all 4 of is prayed for them. Hannah prayed that the baby would be safe, Nathan prayed that the girls would be good for their parents and Chris and I prayed for a safe delivery for mom and baby. We found out later that Javan was born right around the time we were praying. He arrived safely, 7 pounds, 8oz, and 21 inches long. Everyone is doing well from the pictures we have seen. Ruthy, Moriah and Mom and Dad seem really glad to have brother here. We are waiting to hear when they will get to go home. Last we checked, they were having trouble keeping him warm.
Saturday we had Abram over. Amy came over Friday night wondering if I could watch him for half a day. We had such a good time. He did everything Nathan was doing and had stroller races with Hannah and played hotwheels, trains, and tried to pull Hannah in the wagon. We made mini pizzas with him and he loved that. He especially liked the pepperoni's. About 1, he started to fade, so we sat down to read some books. He was asleep in about 10 minutes. About that time, Brett arrived to pick him up. About an hour after that, Hannah started complaining that it hurt to go pee . I noticed one of the times she went that there was a clump of what looked like a blood clot, so I pulled it out and called the nurse hotline. They said she needed to be seen within 4 hours. So we went to Urgent Care and she peed for them, passing another clot of mucus with blood in it. Sure enough, her urine came back positive. They said the blood was because her bladder is so irritated from her consistant infections. We are really waiting to go to Mercy to get this over with or at least see if anyone can help us with this.
They gave her a bunch of antibiotics and so hopefully that will help. Will probably call Dr. Castle this morning and see what she thinks.
Yesterday Chris was off and it was the church picnic and pool party. We went to church and came back. Abram and Brett came over and hung out a little before his nap time. Then we all laid down to rest before the party. We headed to Savannah around 5:45 and made it to the picnic just in time. Hamburgers, hot dogs, and all kinds of goodies from all the people in church. We played at the playground, visited with people and ate. It was a lot of fun. Found out from visiting that one of Hannah's friends from church, Alana, will be in her preschool class this fall. Both of them were excited about that. When the pool opened for us, we all went in. It was cool to go with a whole bunch of christians. Made for a really fun atmosphere. Chris and Nathan stuck together, going down the water slide twice, and off the diving board twice. Nathan is really getting brave and comfortable with the water. It was awesome to see him trying all these things and not being scared but having a blast. Hannah and I hung out in the kids pool for a long time. She played with Alana and Brielle and Emily. They played parade with their floaties , and when someone brought water guns, they played that. Then we all split and went into the deeper pool with mom's and dad's. Hannah and I watched the guys go down the slide and off the diving board. By the end of the night, Hannah had tried to stick her face in the water too. Now it is just getting me away from being afraid of the water.
Anyways, we got home last night about 10:30. it was fun. Everyone slept well, and we are ready for another scorcher today! Hope this finds everyone well and we all send our love!
