Hello all!!
I am actually posting before it has been a week. Amazing huh?
This week was one full of phone calls!! I visited with both of my sisters Tuesday. My youngest sister is about to enter the Radiology department at Fort Hays State and has her interview this coming Friday. We visited about that and her anxiousness about where they will place her for her internship. My other sister is a 4th grade teacher in Dodge and I talked to her too. She is working on finishing up her Master's. She will graduate and walk in December. She is getting that degree is ESL (English as a Second Language).
We also recieved a phone call from Chris mom that her parents aren't doing well. She was out there for Christmas to help get some things settled. Grandma has been really sick this week and Grandpa can only do so much with him still being in physical therapy for his back.
And our other phone call of the week came Thursday morning about 11am, when we learned from my grandma that my cousin had her baby. He was almost 3 1/2 weeks overdue.
Mom and baby are doing well and we are glad for that. It is a first for the side of the family, so it has been really fun for me to see it from another perspective. I am the only one until now who had children in the family. So to experience a family birth and it not be me who is giving birth is really neat. I am anxious to hear from my cousin on how it all went. I love pregnancy stories and delivery stories. Each one of them has such a different circumstance and I marvel at how God plans it that way. It is the beginnning of a life story that He is writing about that child.
I look forward to see how God will shape the new member of our family.
AS for other stuff, Hannah came down sick Thursday night, so since Chris was off Friday, he let me go back to bed and sleep most of Friday morning. I was so thankful.
Oh, one more exciting bit of news this week that I almost forgot. Tuesday we found out that Brett and Amy (Abram's parents) are expecting baby number 2. They will be due in the fall. She hasn't been to the doctor yet, but everyone is really excited.
Well, that is about it. Lots to pray for and lots to be thankful for this week.
I am hoping that all of you are doing good and avoiding the strange weather. No tornado watchs with blizzard warnings at the same time. ;-)
Sending all our love and prayers to all of you!!
