Hi! I am sure that if you check this regularly, you are thinking, "Wow, it is about time".
obviously things have been busy. I knew march would be, but with some major sicknesses, and subbing, etc.
ok, so where do I start. lets see, the week of the church movie night, hannah went down with bronchitis. needless to say, we didn't go to that. We met my parents in Ks City for a train show the weekend of the 10th. that was a lot of fun. haven't been to one of those since 2001. We are lookin forward to more of those. nathan was so excited.
Abrams party was good. Amy had planned a bunch of neat games. She is on bedrest with baby number 2 now. Last week, she went in to the hospital and they said she needed to be. I have been watching Abram again. i want to help them out and it is much less crazy than subbing.
Which is a whole new topic. I loved it and the kids, but it was beginning to get crazy coordinating with chris when to pick up hannah. she was beginning to have trouble at school and we decided that I have all the rest of their school career for me to pursue that. the teachers I had were really wonderful. they love me and and really want me to make sure to sign on next fall. they kept asking for me by request to sub in their room. The week of the 14th, I had a sub job everyday. it was chaos. It was cool to be wanted like that, but I decided that Hannah needs to come first.
When I did that, the preschool hannah is going to asked me if I would be interested in a teaching position in the fall. it would be tuesdays and thursdays from 9-3, which would be perfect and aweosme and on and on. it would pay about $100 a week, and i wold still have Mon, Wed, and Fri to be a stay-at-home mom. it was like God opened up a major door for me. keep praying as they figure out all that.
let see, now back to my time line.
We went home the weekend of te 17th to a baby shower for my cousin. she looked great and I felt for her. I remember so mjch the juggle. It was fun to see my aunt being a grandma. she is so excited. My other cousin announced that weekend that she was expecting, so there will be 2 babies by Christmas. My aunt is so excited!!
My kids got to hold the baby and they were sure that they will be the best and friendliest cousins ever. i reminded them that they are the oldest and that is a big responsiblitiey
Everyone was getting ready for spring break that week. We don't have one, so we had to leave to get bak in time for school. that was kind of a bummer.
When we got back, I had my last subbing job. the kids were like, "You re the best sub ever!"
I felt kind of bad.
parent teacher conferences were that week also. nathan wrote on his folder for us, "Mom and Dad, I am ready for first grade. " I thought I was going to cry. Seems so wierd for us to be there already. he is ready though. they grade k-1st grade on a A,B,C schedule for preparedness in reading, and when they leave kindegarten they need to be at a C level. nathan is at an H, so we are good to go.
hannah is really ready for kindergarten too. Roundup and early enrollment will be in 2 weeks along with t-ball sign up. nathan is pumped for that.
Lets see, taht wasall last week, so this week, Chris went down with pnemonia. I sent him to urgent care and they said if he had waited anylonger, he would have had to go to the hospital.
We were planning on leaving for springfield, mo thursday for my birthday and a joint concert for Chris and I's birthday's. the gaithers are in concert. so, he rested all week. Now nathan's asthma is flaring and that is actually where we sit. I am at the hotel in Springfield writing. i was up with nathan, checking his lungs and making sure he got some more albuterol.
i had a nice birthday. hannah wanted to make me a dress, so we sewed one together. She picked the material. After several lookings, we agreed on one that was green and pink, our favorite colors. it turned out nice. She bought me a pair of white flip flops to wear with it. it is really comfortable. nathan wanted to get me something original. After all the clues, I couldn't figure it out. if he was feeling up to par, it would have gone better, but he wrapped up himself. he said that what i should have for my birthday was his friendship. I about cried.
Chris got me some slippers and some I.O.U. cards. One for vacuuming and sweeping for a week at the house, one for a total of 10 Me hours, availalble by punch card. a meal cooked by him of my choice, and i can't remember the other one.
We went to olive garden once we got here. wow, didnt remember how fancy it was there. And i have never really taught th kids how to act, so it was interesting. our waiter was super nice and the meal was really good. And of course, the peolple came and sang. it was crazy.
then we came back to the hotel and ate the cake they got me and we went swimming.
And now this is updated. the concert is tommorrow, technically, later today, and we will go home probably Saturday.
will post an update later this week.
well, better get back to sleeping. thought while i was up , i would catch up .
Love all of you and think and pray often for you.
until next time, rest in His care!
