Hello all. I am writing this from an exhausted self.
The day has been so wierd. It started when I couldn't sleep anymore, due to the fact that Chris and I were sleeping in the living room, with the kids in Nathan's room. More on why later.
He was snoring and there was no where to go and it was 6:30am. I decided it would be a great opportunity to go walking and read my Bible. No one would be up for a while.
So, I wrote a note and headed out with my bag. Walked 2 miles and sat down to read when my cell phone rang. It was Amy's cell phone. I answered it and it was Nathan, crying.
"How come you left us alone?". I freaked. I assured him that when I left, Dad was still on the floor snoring. I asked him if he had looked for Dad in the bathroom and stuff, to which he mumbled yes.
I told him to stay with Amy, that I was on my way home as soon as I could.
I called Chris' cell, with no answer. So I hoofed it up as fast as possible to the car. Chris called shortly to say he was home. That he was in Nathan's bed. That Nathan had gotten up to go to the bathroom and curled up with him on the couch. Then Nathan doesn't remember anything but waking up alone on the couch. He didn't go back to his room, so he didn't see Chris on his bed.
After much hugging Nathan and thanking Amy, we were ok. Hannah was still asleep. We got breakfast going and tried to get ahold of our landlord.
So, that brings me back to why were were in wierd rooms sleeping. Friday I turned on the air conditioning for the first time. Hannah approached me saying her carpet was wet, to which I assumed she spilt a bottle of water, which she has been drinking a lot of. as I walked into her room, I realized it was much more. Our room and hers was soaking. I instantly assumed it was the air because the hoses from outide enter in that wall, so I shut it off and called our landlord. She said she would send someone out immediately. We waited all evening with no one. Waking up Saturday we called again only to get voicemails. It was supposed to be 95. So, we hung out, at the graciousness of Brett and Amy at their apartment waiting to hear from Joann. She called once, to say that she would check it out. By now I have fans running and have shut the doors to the rooms as they are stinky. Sunday comes and we spend the day outside in the swimming pool to stay cool. I figure I will call her first thing Monday morning. By now, the water has spread in Hannah's room worse as our room is drying out.
So that brings you to my last story.
Well, after resolving Nathan's issue, we call Joann and leave another message. WE were planning on going to the water park for the day. So, all of us get ready and are about to leave, when the phone rings. It is the airconditioning guy. So, the kids and I run to Walmart to buy sunblock and chris stays to help the air man. As we are in Walmart, a torrential downpour begins. Luckily we are in our swim suits already, because we get drenched on our way to the car. I call Chris and we opt not to go anywhere, as obviously, the water park will not be open. So, we ran by Mc.Donalds to rent our free Redbox movie and picked Cinderella 3.
WE came home and ate our picnic lunch on the floor while watching the movie.
By now, Joann has not come by still to see the carpets and such to decide what to do. The air man said it wasn't our unit leaking. So we play trains and princesses until she arrives. Then she decided that Hannah's room is so bad that the entire carpet needs to be pulled out. So Amy watched our kids while Chris and I hauled stuff out of Hannah's room so that we could rip out the carpet and padding.
Some guys will be coming tomorrow to find the source of the water and then lay new carpet and padding after the water is dried out.
WE are watching Abram tomorrow as Brett and Amy go to the doctor for their sonogram to find out if it is a boy or a girl. WE have planned to stay outside unless it is raining. If it is still raining, we will be in Nathan's room as it is the only one to be in.
Luckily Chris is off again tomorrow to help. So, it has been a long couple of days.
Before that, it was the kids last week of summer school. We decided not to do the second session but to hang out at home instead, which has been fun. Nathan had a game Thursday, and it was "His day". He went fishing with Dad and arrived at the game to be the snack guy and he was first up to bat. He said he felt like a star! Saturday night we went to the St. Joe Blacksnakes game and it was funny to see Nathan as the first 1000 fans got minibats. So he was really watching the batters and using his mini bat to mimic the players. He observed a lot and was really pumped about the game.
Chris had to work on Fathers' day, so we stalled eating until late so that we could take him to Rib Crib for all you can eat ribs when he got off work at 8. Normally we don't eat that late, but we knew we didn't have to get up early for anything, so we could stay up.
Since this morning was a little wierd, we played board games tonight after supper and the kids went to bed early. Hope that will help the week be more normal.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
And after that, the computer flipped out and wouldn't start. so, here it is thursday and i am finishing up this blog. if that hasn't already described our week, then,. well.
Joann came by Tuesday to look at the rooms again and to measure for pad and carpet. She decided to replace Hannah's room and the hall. during all this, Amy has gotten a call that her sonogram was never scheduled and that if she wanted to still have it, the had an opening in an hour. so we watched Abram earlier than expected, which meant we went to the water park when they got home.
Which, they found out is a girl!!! Keiley Nicole is what they are hoping to name her. Amy has already bought some pink things. I got a discount pack of onesies and some material from the dollar rack and am going to make some little onesie dresses like hannah had.
so, back to my weekly update.
We went to the water park and played from 12:30 to about 5:30. Needless to say, we were all raisins, but had an awesome time.
Wednesday, the carpet guys came and replaced everything. it is really nice. they did a great job. So we spent all afternoon and evening tryping to get everything back to some sort of assemblance.
Today i subbed at the preschool, and the kids and i had a great time. i was tired, but it got better as all 16 of the prekindergartners and i enjoyed the day. I had two other helpers in there besides my kids. It was a good one.
We got home to eat supper and spent the rest of our evening outside with Brett, Amy and Abram. the boys caught lightening bugs and the big boys shot off bottle rockets, while the girls just admired how funny our families had been.
Tomorrow we are just stayiing here. since the week has been wierd, tomorrow is kid day.
chris is off this weekend and he gets paid today, so we are going to head to Kansas City Saturday to go to the City market to get some good produce.
Next week, on Friday, my sister karen will be here for sure. the kids are really looking forward to that. My sister Mary and her husband Jon are a maybe. His birthday is that weekend, so we aren't sure.
We are waiting to hear if Chris' parents are a for sure also for that following week.
Nathan has a game on Saturday and then his last two games are the weekend my sister is here. She is making a shirt for herself to wear as a "aunt" fan. it has been over a year since they have been here. it will be nice to have her in our home.
Well, now that this has been updated, I am going to attempt to post it.
until next week, all our love.

Its been a week!!
Hi all!!
Well, the kids first week at summer school was a good one.
We have decided, however, that two weeks will probably be enough.
Our highlights this week were going to church Friday night to hear Bob Russell speak. He spoke on leadership and that meant a lot to Chris. Which, last week was his first week of classes and he is really enjoying it. Has already had 3 projects and is feeling a little swamped. Busy department, busy classes, and trying to manage home life.
He said what Bob Russell had to say about management meant so much because it came from another Christian. He is learning all the Lowes agenda, but to couple that with the Bible's perspective and practical suggestions from a christian is nice.
Saturday was a game for Nathan. The Coleman teams played each other, so that was fun. A lot of kids he had last year on his team were on the other team. I have some cute pictures of them visiting on base with each other.
Sunday it rained, so we headed to church with our rain coats. Got to go to the 9:30 service for the first time. It was different, but nice. Bob spoke on grumbling and how we should be grateful for all that we have. It was a great time. The kids and I went home and played. Hannah started to cough so bad that she almost threw up. She only slept about 4 hours last night, so needless to say, she didnt' go to summer school, but to the doctor.
Wow, how I love them!! Dr. Evans looked at her and her wheezy cough and put her on some albuterol and claritin to see if that will do the thing. We because of symptoms determined it was more like allergies overwhelming her system. He wants to see her Friday for a recheck.
We also got to talking about the visit of Bob Russell to our church and other things. It left me so thankful for having a fellow Christian for a pediatrician. Such perspective gives me so much confidence.
Nathan had baseball practice tonight, so we headed from Target pharmacy to Wendy's for some quick supper and off to the field.
His coach worked with him one on one to do hitting. He and Nathan worked for about 15 minutes before sending him to the field to catch some grounders. After that, he got his turn to hit. They worked with him there too and he hit quite a few. His confidence is building and they pushed him pretty hard. His coach said after practice that he saw so much potential in Nathan because he has such a genuine love for the game. He wants to really hone in on his basic skills and get him confident in his swing. He said, " I just know that when he is a star player in high school, that I will look back and say, 'I am the one who taught him how to swing'."
We came home and the kids crashed pretty quickly.
Tomorrow they will go to school and we plan to just hang out. Wednesday Chris is off, so we are going to go mini golfing as a family after school. Thursday is another game for Nathan. He is really excited about it since he got worked with so much today.
Friday is a church famly game night, so we are looking forward to that. Saturday we are planning on going to our first St. Joe Blacksnakes game. Sunday is Father's day, so we are taking Chris to Rib Crib. Will write you again then.
Also, I am going to start building albums online since it is so difficult for me to post pictures. I will be emailing you soon, if you are in my address book, with that website.
If you aren't sure you are in my address book, email me at arcmom65@hotmail.com and I will make sure you get the address.
Till next time, hope that you are striving to honor God with your life.

Happy 8th Anniversary!!
Ok, typed this up yesterday and on Chris' laptop and it only published the title, so here is the real blog I wrote yesterday!!
----------------------------------------
Hi all! It has been a wild couple of weeks
As some of you know, play day was fun, but a disaster. it was cloudy and cold and they still did all the events. there was no 3 legged race, there was no tire race. it was mostly water games and soakers at that. nathan got super chilled. he came home soaking wet, and purple in the face. i had him take a warm shower and lay down. When he got up, he looked better and ate some supper. he complained of his stomach hurting but I figured it was from all the wierdness of the day. When he woke up Saturday, he still complained of his stomach. i didn't think much of it. Got him some breakfast and we went to a birthday party. He was complaining of it still hurting that afternoon and i assumed too much sugar, so we rested the rest of the day.
Went to church and then came home. When we get home, and he heads to the bathroom, he says, "Hey mom, I have blood when I wipe". I looked and all it was was blood and mucus. So I called Dr. Evans and he asked if I could get a sample to the lab as soon as possible. We did and waited. We were supposed to meet Dr. Evans at his office Monday morning.
he didn't have results yet, but examined nathan to find that he had a hemmeroid (sp?)
We waited for test results.
he went to school tuesday and came home pale and complaining that he was passing blood again.
I called the dr. office and they said they wanted to see him first thing in the morning.
do that and his initial results are negative for everything. However, they didn't run a test on a certain bacteria that appears after a flood in contaminated water, found in either water hoses or stuff like that. Wanted another sample taken to run it on that.
Nathan slept most of the day and we waited.
When final test results finally came Friday afternoon, they were negative also, but dr says he assumes that probably what happened is that during the water games, something had traces of the bacteria and that had made him sick. Nothing to prove that and nothing they can do to treat it. The body normally takes care of it itself, unless a fever or vomiting occur.
In the midst of all this, thursday, we had our friends Mike and Amber back over for supper. We visited and Chris found that he has another brother in the land of science fiction. Amber and I visited about how interesting it was to live with a spouse that seemed to always live in another world via the computer. We laughed about how if we have to move, we will make Lowes move them along with us.
Since Nathan was feeling a little better, we went ahead with our plans to have mom and dad watch the kids, under the condition that if he got worse, we would come and get him.
We all ate out at Dennys friday night and then Chris and I went to see spiderman 3.
Saturday we slept in, and the bed was super comfortable i didn't want to get out. One of those when you lay on it, you feel all the stress and stuff melt away. it was awesome.
We went to the city market, which was awesome. all kinds of fruits and vegtables and stuff that were home grown. We talked about that next paycheck, we should bring a cooler down and our grocery allowance and get some homegrown food for good prices.
After that, we went to the world war 1 museum. It was amazing. would definately recommend anyone to go and see it. A lot of information.
We headed back to the hotel to rest and go swimming before heading out to dinner and the T-bones game. (Royals were in florida)
We ate mexican and then went to the game. it was a really neat stadium. No bad seats anywhere. The T-bones won by one point, 7-6.
We headed back after the fireworks show and crashed. Waking up Sunday morning, we spent time in our hotel reading the book of Ephesians and then checked out.
We went up to Legends, a shopping area near the t-bones stadium. We walked around and saw many interesting shops. One, called harry and Davids, had all kinds of food you could try. it was stuff like carmeled popcorn, chips and salsa, etc. Really good.
We headed home after that and took a nap. We ordered pizza and watched a movie and went to bed.
Chris had to work monday morning and mom was going to bring the kids home that day, so I did a bunch of house work until they got hear after 3.
We ate some cream of chicken and headed to nathans baseball practice after mom left. Practice he did really well. He had to miss 3 games due to his sickness. He was really glad to get to play.
Today was their first day of summer school. I actually need to pick them up in about an hour. Will be posting every monday when they are in summer school, so will be more frequent in my updates. On my next one, I will have to let you know how it is going.
Oh, and as for the title of this blog, today is our 8th anniversary. We are excited and glad. We talked about how much our children are a blessing to us and that if we hadn't met and gotten married, we wouldn't have the most wonderful family in the world, (or at least we think so:-)
We actually almost forgot this morning. With the chaos of getting things together, Chris went to work and called from there to wish me a happy anniversary, to which I replied, oh yeah, i almost forgot.
planning on going out to dinner together to celebrate. Hope everyone is well, and will write more next week. Till then!
