Hi all!
It has been a little while. Lets see, to be honest, I am not for sure what we did the week of the 16th. I know it wasn't as crazy as some weeks. Maybe I slept through it "-)
Chris went fishing Wednedsday by himself. He was glad to do that. Thursday he went out with Hannah all day and then that night he fished with Brett. It was a good couple of days. Nathan was acting ill, or he and I would have done something. He seemed better over the weekend. Of course, his best friend, Caleb's birthday party was that day, so he had to be, right?
They were so cute to watch together. They were like glue to one another. I am so glad they have each other. Nathan got to do the fun machine for Caleb and they spent most of the skating party in the middle jumping on moving lights and falling down. They were laughing so hard together. It was so neat to watch.
Monday, he and I did have our date, which was nice. Tuesday Chris was off, so we had a family night of reading books and such. Yesterday was a day of PTA board stuff. I am going to be on it and it was neat to be in the room and hear how things went this year and the changes we can make for the next year. I am really excited for the responsiblity and the activity I will be in the kids school. The others I am with are a fun group to be with.
My initiation to that will be sometime in May. Also, yesterday, Chris found out that he got nomiated and accepted into the Management Training Program. Pretty much that is when someone of upper management sees that you have potential and wants to see how far up the ladder you could go. After being accepted, you have to take like a 2 hour test that determines where you best fit in Lowes Corporate and then how far you have the potential to go.
After that test, if you want to pursue the climb, you do some projects for the company and spend a week sometime at headquarters. When that is complete, then whatever level you work towards you become and Lowes majorly promotes you.
Chris is really excited about it. He talked with his Human resource manager, Beck Irwin, and they scheduled his test for next Thursday. So you might be keeping that in your prayers. He is really nervous and excited at the same time.
He wants to do whatever God leads him to do, but is frustrated with where he is the the lack of response in his department. He would like to be able to help others avoid that stress.
Tomorrow Hannah has a field trip, which I would love to go on, but I kept Nathan home today because he was feeling sick to his stomach and was running a fever. So, we will see. Someone said that the stomach flu is making another round around here. I hope not.
Chris has the weekend off and is planning on going fishing again. We are planning on meeting Mom and Dad in Atchison this Sunday after church.
Hope you all are well!
Until next time, our love and prayers!!

Past a busy week!
Hello all!
Just thought I would get on and catch up from this last week. It was a busy one for us.
Monday the kids were off from Easter. Since it was cold, we stayed inside and worked on birthday cards for all the April birthdays we know. We watched movies and read books.
Tuesday I subbed at Hannah's preschool in the class I will be teaching next year. The 3 year olds. It was really fun. Brought back so many memories from my Antioch days. (sure do miss all that)
Tuesday night was Nathan's t-ball sign up. So, we braved the cold rain to get that done. Nathan is pumped and ready to play. Wednesday was grocery day, so Chris and I braved the weather to do that. The huge box we got at Aldi's got wet and we busted a bottle of grape juice on our sidewalk on the way in. It is so stained. I knew grape juice stained, but not like that.
The kids and I had a relaxed night and went to bed early.
Thursday was Hannah's kindergarten roundup. So, we spent the morning doing fun things with her, because I wanted the day to be about her. Well, Brett quit his job, so I needed to watch Abram that afternoon while he did some applications. We got to the roundup a little early, and she must have been nervous and tired because it didn't go nearly as well as we had hoped, considering that was all she could talk about. She decided she didn't want to go to the gym with the other kindergartners. We decided later that she probably thought that she was missing out and that Nathan and us were doing something fun.
It escalated and the night finished with her being the last one to get supper and not being able to finish it because they were closing down the cafeteria.
Hopefully the year won't be so stressful.
Friday was school and Chris was off, so we hit cleaning and organizing storage. It is so nice to know where to find stuff back there. Still more to sort, but in a possible way now.
Saturday was a friend of Hannah's birthday party. it was the first one she has ever been to, so she was scared. By the end of it, she had come out of her shell and was playing nicely. it was a fun party. Carson wanted to do pirates, so they all had black plastic cups on their hands with aluminum foil coming out of the top in a hook shape. They ate a nutty bar cake to look like a treasure chest. She had a good time.
Today, it was nice outside, for once, so after all 3 services at church, we ate sandwiches and played outside all day. We came in and had supper, read some books and went to bed.
That brings us to now.
This week looks like not much, so that is nice. Chris has a dentist appointment tomorrow, and is off Wednesday. He is hoping to go fishing for the first time this year.
As a final, if you could keep a couple things in prayer:
-Our friends, Mark and Rachel Bond- His dad passed away this week: was a christian, praise the Lord, but it will be hard to say good-bye and for the little ones understanding
-Grandpa leach- found out that he has an aneuryism on his spine, not sure about if it is operable or not.
Hope everyone is well and doing fine.
All our love!

A short update
Hey! We are home.
Nathan's asthma didn't ever get out of control. However, Friday was Chris' worse day. We seriously thought about looking for a hospital. He rested most of the day.
We had lunch at a place called Incredible Pizza. It was really cool. I am hoping to get some pictures loaded up on here via the laptop.
We all took a nap before the concert, which was awesome. It started at 6:45 and we didn't head back to the hotel until 11:45. The entire group came out and sang a few songs together and then each set of individuals got to sing a couple of their own. Intermission was at 9:15 and from 9:30 till 11:30 was nothing but the groups and the crowd praising the Lord. It was AWESOME!
And Chris got to hang out with several people he admired, so that was cool. He was feeling better enough to really enjoy that.
We got to the hotel in time for Chris' parents to arrive. We weren't for sure if they were coming. There was a death in the family that we were sure would prevent them from making it, but they came anyways. We all slept in and then swam Saturday. We went to Lamberts to eat lunch and had an easter egg hunt at the ToysRUs. We also went to Bass Pro. They paid for our night in the hotel for Sat. night.
We got up Sunday and checked out and ate at the Steak and Shake next to the hotel and then split ways. We got home about 6:30 and had McDonalds for supper. Everyone but me went to bed around 7. I headed to walmart to get basic supplies for everyone to make it Monday.
Monday was mostly cleaning up the springfield stuff and making the house look like home again.
Today, hannah and I went to story time at the library and went major grocery shopping. Everyone is still really tired and recovering from the late nights. So I have been getting everyone to bed no later than 7:30.
With the cold snap we are having, I don't think I can handle anymore sick people. I am run down the way it is.
Anyways, that is what is up here. I thought while I was waiting for Nathan to finish his pulmicort, I would blog a short one.
Will write again soon!
Until then, all our love,
